my initial emotional response to a bad situation was to write this song. i wrote all of the lyrics to it and then left it alone for 7 months. i figured i would finish it once i stopped feeling the things i was feeling but then it kind of just never went away. i had planned to write a chorus or maybe an extra verse but it never came to me. the ending i ended up writing was out of necessity to finish the album. i'm not entirely happy with how it ended but i'm glad it even got resolved to a point where i was happy enough with it to put it on the album. i like the riff it builds up to.
