Silicon by Strand
Detroit techno band, Strand, follows up “Space Age Polymers” and “At the Precipice” with the EP “Silicon” on Harbonder. Silicon is a natural chemical element with atomic number 14, used in making electronic circuits. In the hands of Strand, the musical results are as organic and rare as the pure element.
1) Arborlon - Organic,electronic, 4/4 funk with relentless charged particle rhythms.
2) Idiom - Percolating synths, soulful pad, and driving drums make this an exercise in Detroit Techno.
