Lyrics
The prince became the pauper's lead, with honesty pretending has no need
So while we're humbly sowing seed, we pick our fights with the fields choice of beast
hoping to succeed
Don't rise up against the envious snake for battle
Satisfaction isn't saved to be stored up in a chest
You're convinced you're stuck drinking a poisonous vial
But if you could look around you'd see you're not so oppressed
You've never seen such a royal shame, such a tainted twist to a good name
We glorify our excrement for fame, pretending there's no vanity with the vain
Like we're all the same
But if we're equals why aren't we united
With a common understanding we aren't to be put on a shelf
And if friends before why not friends reunited
Or are we scared of our selfishness knowing we're dishonest with our self
So are there morals to the stories we are living
Or do we justify our clumsy jousting as better than the rest
And are we utilizing the power we've been given
To try to smother all our smuttiness or responsibly live our best
